Azmi has been a full-fledged yoga teacher since 2005. The same year he graduated from the AI Holistic School with a Diploma in Ashtanga Yoga Instruction. In pursuing is holistic knowledge, he went through an extensive course of learning Advanced Massage and Anatomy from the Esalen Institute of Big Sur in which he studied Shiatsu, Swedish, Balinese, and Thai massages.  He found those trainings had brought him deeper towards the understanding of the human body in relation to yoga practice. 

Having trained in dance in his teens and along with the physiological aspect of the body in massage training, he fuses them in his yoga classes and creates a sensible approach to the practice where students are allowed to cultivate total body awareness, learn acceptance in being still, practice humility in taking on a challenge but also have fun and understand what make sense to them. 

Since 2017, he has been pursuing his path in Sound Therapy and Yoga Anatomy. After completing his Level 1 certification in Sound Therapy, he pursued his Diploma in Sound and after 12 months of rigorous online training with full on commitment and dedication he graduated in September 2021 with outstanding results. Azmi truly believes that Sound and Vibration are the science of integral healing of the whole body, mind and soul - the key towards a healthy and joyful life.

What is a Sound Bath?


What is a sound bath? The practice of sound bathing, as the name suggests, is the practice of being deeply immersed in sounds and vibrations that have the power to cleanse and heal. It is a journey of self-discovery through deep relaxation and meditation.

Taking a sound bath is taking a holistic approach to relaxation and healing. It can be a perfect escape from the modern stresses of life. A sound bath can cleanse your soul and restore your balance. This stems from the immense power of sound and vibration. Sound has a great influence on our emotions and health and can make us feel happy, energised and relaxed.

During a sound bath, a profound sense of peace and tranquility will surround you. 

This sound bath will include using Gongs, singing bowls, and other instruments where you will feel the healing and cleansing power of these various different instruments surround you. All your stress, tension, and depression may be washed away with these vibrations. Both your emotional and physical trauma may be released, making you feel vibrant and lively.


Studies on sound and frequency have proven that sound therapy helps improve memory retention of Alzheimer’s patients, enlivens dying blood cells by stimulating the mechanism that produces oxygen, and sound and vibration assist in bringing the frequencies of our bodily organs, bones, and brains when they go OFF Balance and experience dis-ease. 


Healing Properties of the Sound Bath


Experiencing deep rest, relaxation and bringing balance to your chakra (the energy 

Centre) is the goal of the sound bath. The harmonic vibrations produced by singing 

bowls, gongs or other sound bath instruments are intended to stimulate Alpha and Theta 

brain waves frequency which resonate and trigger the deep meditative state of the brain in a way 

that stimulates healing. When done regularly, sound bathing can have profound health
